The way thing's are going, I wouldn't be surprised if we had another Guy Fawkes, type attempt in the future ;0) ..wonder how the Bronze cladding will hold up then :0) ;0)

Ahh Politicians.
Hi Jen, it's just dawned on me why our politicians have little interest in dealing with 'petty' crime. 'Caus if they did, they themselves would all have to be investigated, and punished. But if the 'punishment' is kept to a meaningless smack on the wrist, why, it's business as usual. I believe it's called doing a 'mandelson', or some such.
Very good story, Jen. I'm not surprised, the people of this country have got the politicians they deserve. Even after the expenses scandal this wishy washy nation didn't do anything; yes we huffed and puffed and spouted outrage. However, did we take to the streets, did we refuse to work until the really corrupt ones resigned? Did we chuff. Then after all that we continue to vote for the same 3 parties.
Hell, in a town near me, Barnsley, the plebs there, who had been ripped off by their sitting Labour MP Eric Ilsley, still voted for another Labour MP.
Sorry, but I've just about lost all patience for the idiots in this country. They moan and groan, but never do anything to radically alter things. They'll still carry on voting for Lib/Lab/Con and wondering why politicians treat them with contempt and carry on ripping them off.
